SWSA Glock Dry Fire Kit Review

I recently tried a Glock Dry fire Trigger from Southwest Shooting Authority (SWSA). I have wondered for some time how effective the dry fire trigger is and whether it resembled a real Glock Trigger.  I’m happy to report, It does.

I think the trigger is effective and has helped me strengthen my finger and improved my speed on double and triple taps. It’s also really nice not having to rack the slide between pulling the trigger.  Transitions have also improved since I no longer have to rack to transition.  I think the trigger is worth purchasing and should I lose it would purchase again.

Does the trigger feel exactly like a Glock trigger? Absolutely not. It does, however, feel close. Even close enough that Continue reading SWSA Glock Dry Fire Kit Review

AmeriGlo/Defoor Tactical Glock Sights Review

I recently installed a set of AmeriGlo/Defoor Tactical sights on my Glock 34 and I believe that they are the best upgrade I’ve made to my gun. I shoot the stock Glock sights fine, I shoot the AmeriGlo sights better.

The improvement comes, for me at least, in that the front sight is narrower and the rear sight is slightly wider. I find Continue reading AmeriGlo/Defoor Tactical Glock Sights Review

Jard AR-15 Single Stage Adjustable Trigger Review

You can have a great rifle and not achieve all the accuracy potential if you have a poor trigger. This couldn’t be truer than in case of the AR-15. Many of the AR-15’s built have potential for being accurate, however, most of them ship with an 8-10 lb mil-spec trigger that is gritty and has a lot of pre-travel. Heavy, gritty, triggers make it difficult for anyone to shoot tight groups.

One of the easiest things you can do to cut group size and aid in overall accuracy is to add a quality aftermarket trigger.

I recently installed a 2 lb Jard Adjustable Single Stage Trigger and am very happy with it. I am getting consistent trigger pulls in the 2.3-2.4lb range which is great. My trigger is crisp, light, and consistent. Continue reading Jard AR-15 Single Stage Adjustable Trigger Review

Arredondo Glock Base Pads Review

Arredondo Glock Base Pads

I have now shot almost 900 rounds through my Arredondo Glock Base Pads and am still just as impressed with the quality as when I first installed them.  I still haven’t had a malfunction or issue of any kind and don’t expect to.

The Arredondo Base pads or mag extensions extend your magazine to 140mm. 140mm is the limit for being legal for USPSA Limited and Scoped Tactical in 3 gun.  The extension allows for 6 extra rounds of 9mm for a total of 23+1 or 5 rounds of .40S&W.

To test the base pads I loaded them with 23 rounds of 9mm and dropped them from shoulder height on cement and hard dirt. They handled it fine and don’t’ even show wear. I had no luck even getting them to  loosen by dropping. To Continue reading Arredondo Glock Base Pads Review

Savage Long Range .338 Lapua Hunting Rifle (SHOT Show Video)

Savage decided that for the 2011 SHOT Show they would introduce a new lightweight hunting rifle in .338 Lapua. There wasn’t a lot of hype about it but it was one of the coolest things we saw there. Custom .338 hunting rifles are the rage Continue reading Savage Long Range .338 Lapua Hunting Rifle (SHOT Show Video)

JP Enterprise Advanced Modular Chassis System AMCS (Video)

While at the SHOT Show we saw JP Enterprise’s new Stock Chassis system for Savage’s and Remington’s. We could only look at it but liked what we saw. The stock folded, a great feature that allows a long-barreled bolt gun to fit in tighter spaces. The stock also locked up very tight and solid. The chassis system allows you to Continue reading JP Enterprise Advanced Modular Chassis System AMCS (Video)
